| Committee | Your organizer brand on Taack. Has a public page, a team, and all your events. |
| Handle | The short, unique name that forms the web address of a committee or event page. Set during creation and cannot be changed. |
| Patron | A person who buys or requests tickets. Has a profile separate from organizer accounts. |
| Event | A single occasion with a public page, date, location, and tickets. |
| Ticket type | A purchasable option on an event (for example, General Admission, VIP). |
| Ticket group | A labeled section that organizes multiple ticket types on the event page. |
| Ticket sale | A confirmed purchase record with a QR code for check-in. |
| Ticket request | A pending purchase awaiting organizer approval. Shown with a Pending approval badge under My Tickets → Pending. |
| Online earnings | Revenue from card sales minus the organizer’s share of fees. |
| Patron Fee | The portion of processing fees paid by the ticket buyer at checkout. |
| Absorb fees | Fee structure where the organizer pays the full processing fee; patrons pay the listed price. |
| Split 50/50 | Fee structure where organizer and patron each pay half the fee. |
| Pass on fees | Fee structure where the patron pays the full processing fee at checkout. |
| Payment plan | Per-ticket option letting patrons pay a deposit at checkout and the balance in scheduled payments. Tickets are issued after the final payment. |
| Deposit | The first payment of a payment plan, charged at checkout (or captured on approval). |
| Grace period | Organizer-set window (1–5 days) a patron has to catch up after missing a plan payment. |
| Missed-payment policy | What happens when a plan’s grace period expires: keep payments, refund minus fees, refund all but the deposit, or leave it to the organizer. |
| Past due | Plan status while a missed payment is inside its grace period. |
| Defaulted | Plan status after the grace period expires without payment; reserved tickets are released. |
| Attendance requires approval | Event setting that puts all purchases into a request workflow. |
| Request only | Ticket setting that requires approval for that specific ticket type. |
| Event discoverability | Public (listed on Taack) or Private (link-only access). |
| Manual sale | A sale recorded by the organizer as cash or bank transfer. |
| Payout | Transfer of online earnings to the organizer’s verified bank account. |
| Check-in | Scanning a ticket QR code to mark a patron as arrived. |
| Event code | Six-digit code for the mobile scanner app to access an event. |
| Custom questions | Extra fields patrons fill in at checkout (text, options, checkbox, website). |
| Member / Admin | Roles for invited committee team members. |
| Guest checkout | Purchasing tickets without a full Taack account. |
