Add-ons let you sell merch and extras with your tickets: T-shirts, drink vouchers, parking passes, or anything else patrons collect at the event. Patrons add them to a ticket order at checkout, or buy them later from My Tickets. Your door staff hand them out from the web scanner or the Taack Scanner app. Each add-on can have a photo, a price, a stock count, and options such as size or colour, each with its own stock.
Add-ons are collected at the event. Taack doesn’t ship items. Patrons need a ticket for the event to buy an add-on.

Who can manage add-ons

The event creator and the organisation’s owners and admins can create, edit, and track add-ons. Team members with the Member role can’t.

Create an add-on

1

Open Add-ons

Select Events in the sidebar and open your event. Click More, then Add-ons.You can also click Create add-ons on the Tickets tab.
2

Start a new add-on

Click Create an add-on for your first one, or New add-on if you already have some.
3

Name and describe it

Enter a Name, such as Event T-shirt. Add an optional Description and Photo. Patrons see the photo on the event page and at checkout.
4

Set the stock

Under Stock, choose Limited and enter how many you have. Choose ∞ Unlimited for items that never run out, such as drink vouchers.Unlimited add-ons never sell out, but Taack still counts how many you’ve sold.
5

Set the price and limit

Enter the Price. Add-ons use your event’s ticket currency: TTD, JMD, or USD. You can set the price to 0 for a free extra.Max per person caps how many of this add-on one patron can hold. The default is 10. The limit counts everything the patron has bought for the event, not just one order.
6

Add options if you need them

Turn on Offer options to sell variations such as sizes or colours. Enter an optional Option name, such as Size or Colour. Then enter each Option with its own stock. Click Add option for more.Patrons, door staff, and emails show the option with its name, for example “Size: M”.
7

Show it and save

Leave Show on the event page on to start selling straight away. Click Create add-on.
Create your tickets before your add-ons. An add-on takes its currency from your tickets when you create it, so an event without tickets defaults to TTD.

How fees work on add-ons

Add-ons follow the same fee rules as tickets: 7% of the add-on price, plus the $1.80 TTD flat fee once per order.
  • An order with tickets and add-ons pays one flat fee, not two.
  • An add-on bought later from My Tickets is its own order, so it pays its own flat fee.
You don’t choose a fee option for each add-on. Taack copies the setting from your paid tickets when you create the add-on: See Fees and payments for how each option affects what you receive.

Manage your add-ons

Each add-on on the Add-ons tab shows its price, stock left, units sold, and units collected. Add-ons with options also list each option’s stock and sales. A bar shows stock left and turns orange when an option is running low. Use the … menu on an add-on to:
  • Edit its details, price, stock, or options
  • Hide it from patrons, or Show it again
  • Delete it
To change the order patrons see, drag an add-on by its grip. You can also focus the grip and use the arrow keys.

What you can change after sales start

  • Price changes apply to new orders only. Patrons who already bought keep the price they paid.
  • Stock can’t go below the number already sold or held in open checkouts.
  • You can’t remove an option that has sales. Once you add options, you can’t turn them off.
  • If you’ve already sold an add-on without options, you can’t add options to it.
  • To switch from ∞ Unlimited back to Limited, the stock must be at least the number sold.

Hide or delete an add-on

Hide removes an add-on from the event page and from My Tickets. Patrons who already bought it can still collect it. You can only Delete an add-on that nobody has bought and that isn’t in an open checkout. Otherwise, hide it instead.

What patrons see

When an event sells add-ons, the ticket page shows an Add-ons section below the tickets, marked Optional. Tabs at the top, such as Tickets and Add-ons, jump between the two sections.
  • Patrons pick a ticket first. Until then, the page asks them to Choose a ticket first, then add these to your order.
  • They choose an option, such as a size, then use + and - to set the quantity.
  • Sold-out options can’t be selected. Max limit reached appears when a patron hits your limit.
  • At the review step, patrons who skipped add-ons see Add to your order and can add them before paying.
Add-ons are also available when patrons book through a Taack embed on your website. Later, any patron who holds a ticket can buy add-ons from My Tickets. See Find and buy tickets for the patron’s view.

Track add-on sales

Below your add-ons, the Add-on sales list shows who bought what, so you can pack orders and check pickups. Each row shows the patron, add-on, option, status, and purchase date. Filter the list by add-on, or by status: Click Export CSV to download the filtered list. The file has one row per unit, with the buyer’s name, email, and phone, the add-on and option, status, price, purchase time, and collection time. If a ticket transfer moved an add-on to someone else, the Purchased by column shows who paid. Add-on sales also appear in these places:
  • Overview — Online Earnings and the sales chart include add-on revenue. Ticket counts stay tickets only.
  • Sales — click a ticket sale to see the holder’s Add-ons, with each item’s option, status, and price.
  • Requests — a request lists any add-ons the patron chose.
  • Payouts — add-on revenue, after your share of fees, is paid out with your ticket revenue.
The Sales CSV export also includes add-on purchases, one row per unit, with addon_sale in the source column. Filtering that export by ticket type leaves add-ons out. See Sales.

Hand out add-ons at the door

Hand out add-ons with either scanner: Scan with Web in the dashboard or the Taack Scanner mobile app. When staff scan a patron’s ticket, the scanner shows Add-ons to collect with everything that patron holds for the event.
1

Scan the ticket

Scan the patron’s QR code as usual. The add-on list appears whether the ticket is newly checked in or already checked in. Patrons can come back for their items later.
2

Hand over the item

Give the patron the item and option shown, for example “Event T-shirt · Size: M”.
3

Mark it collected

Click or tap Mark collected for each unit you hand over. The time appears beside it.
The guest list works too. After a patron is checked in by hand, their add-ons appear in their row. Select a patron who’s already checked in to see their add-ons. If a staff member marks the wrong item, they can use Undo within two minutes, on the same device. If another device already marked the item, the scanner shows Already collected. Collections update live across every scanner on the event. Add-ons belong to the patron, not to one ticket. Scanning any of their tickets for the event shows all their add-ons. See Check in guests to set up either scanner.

Approval events

On events that require approval, patrons can include add-ons with their request. Taack authorises the full amount on their card and charges it only when you approve.
  • Approve charges for the tickets and add-ons together.
  • Deny releases the add-on stock. Taack hasn’t charged anything.
A free ticket with a paid add-on still needs a card, so the patron goes through the standard checkout.

Transfers, refunds, and cancellations

Transfers. When a patron transfers a ticket, Taack asks whether to send their add-ons too. Nothing moves unless they choose it. Collected add-ons stay with the original patron. See Manage ticket transfers. Refunds. Refunding a whole order refunds its add-ons too. The add-ons show as Refunded and can’t be collected. Cancellations. You can’t cancel the free tickets of a patron who holds paid add-ons. Refund their order instead, which returns the tickets and add-ons together. Patrons with paid add-ons can’t cancel their own RSVP or free ticket either; Taack asks them to contact you.

Limits to know

  • Add-ons can’t be sold without a ticket for the same event.
  • Discount codes apply to tickets only. Add-ons keep their full price.
  • Add-ons can’t go on a payment plan. If a patron adds one, the payment plan option goes away and they pay the full order at checkout.
  • You can’t record add-ons as part of a manual sale.
  • Add-ons are collected at the event. There’s no shipping.
  • Tickets and pricing — set up the tickets your add-ons sell alongside
  • Check in guests — set up the web scanner or the Taack Scanner app
  • Sales — review orders and earnings
  • Payouts — see how add-on revenue reaches your bank
