You can send one of your tickets to another person by email. Transferring is free. The recipient becomes the ticket holder when they claim it in Taack.
As soon as you send a transfer, nobody can use that ticket at the door until the recipient claims it or you cancel the transfer. After they claim it, your old QR code, screenshots, and wallet pass no longer work for admission.

Before you send

  • Sign in to the Taack account that holds the ticket.
  • Check that the organizer allows transfers for the event.
  • Choose a ticket that hasn’t been checked in. Transfers remain available until the event ends.
  • If you bought through a payment plan, complete the plan first.
  • Confirm the recipient’s email. You can’t send a ticket to your own email.
You transfer one ticket at a time. If you hold several tickets, repeat the steps for each one you want to send. The recipient can receive another ticket even if they already hold tickets for the event.

Send a ticket

1

Choose your ticket

Open My Tickets, select the event, then select the individual ticket you want to send.
2

Enter the recipient's email

Click Transfer this ticket. Enter Their email and, if you want, Add a note of up to 140 characters. Click Continue.
3

Review and send

Check the ticket type, event, and email address. Click Edit to correct anything, or Send ticket to send the transfer.
4

Wait for the claim

Taack emails the recipient a claim link and sends you a confirmation. Click Done to return to your ticket. It shows who you’re waiting on. Taack emails you when they claim it.
Once claimed, the ticket appears in the recipient’s account. Your event ticket page keeps a Transferred record. You can’t take it back after a claim. The recipient can send it to you again, or to someone else, if transfers are still allowed and the ticket remains eligible.

Claim a ticket sent to you

1

Open the transfer email

Click Claim your ticket in the email from Taack.
2

Use the email the ticket was sent to

Click Sign in to claim. If you’re new to Taack, choose New to Taack? Create an account, then Create account & claim. Complete sign-up and any email verification. If you see This ticket was sent to a different email, click Switch account and sign in with the recipient email. To receive it in another account, ask the sender to cancel the pending transfer and send it to that account’s email.
3

Answer the organizer's questions

If the event has questions, provide your own answers and complete any required fields. The sender’s answers don’t come with the ticket.
4

Claim and open your ticket

Click Claim ticket, then View my ticket. Use the QR code from your own ticket for check-in. For a virtual event, Join event appears after the claim; access follows the event’s join window.
Signing in alone doesn’t complete the transfer. Finish by clicking Claim ticket. Each transfer link can be claimed once.

Resend or cancel a pending transfer

Open My Tickets, select the event, then open the ticket waiting to be claimed.
  • Resend email sends the same claim link again. Wait at least one hour after sending, or after your last reminder. You can send up to five reminders per transfer.
  • Cancel transfer opens a confirmation. Click Cancel transfer again to take the ticket back. The recipient’s claim link stops working, and your ticket’s QR code becomes usable again.
If you entered the wrong email, cancel before the ticket is claimed and start a new transfer with the correct email. Resending doesn’t change the recipient.

When a transfer expires

A recipient has 14 days from when you send the ticket to claim it, or until the event ends, whichever comes first. Resending restarts the 14-day period, but never extends it beyond the event’s end. If nobody claims it in time, the ticket stays in your account and the claim link stops working. If the event hasn’t ended and the ticket is still eligible, you can send a new transfer. An expired or cancelled transfer doesn’t refund the purchase.

QR codes, wallets, and virtual access

After a claim, the recipient must use their own ticket. Forwarding the sender’s old QR code, screenshot, or wallet pass won’t work. A pass may remain visible in the sender’s wallet even though it no longer admits anyone. For virtual events, access moves to the recipient when they claim. The sender keeps access if they still hold another eligible ticket for that event. While the transfer is pending, the sender’s existing virtual access remains available; the recipient gets access after claiming.

Refunds after a transfer

A transfer doesn’t change who paid. If an order is refunded, the money returns to the original purchaser’s original payment method. Taack doesn’t pay the recipient or handle money exchanged privately between patrons. A whole-order refund invalidates all tickets on that order, including tickets already transferred. Pending claim links close too. Taack emails affected current holders or recipients waiting to claim. Contact the organizer about refund requests; see the Refund Policy.
