# Connect ChatGPT

> Add the Taack connector to ChatGPT using developer mode.

ChatGPT connects to custom MCP servers like Taack through developer mode on the web. The ChatGPT mobile apps can't use this connector.

## Before you begin

* The Taack account that owns the committee. Invited **Members** and **Admins** can't connect.
* ChatGPT on the web
* A plan that can use developer mode:
  * **Business**, **Enterprise**, and **Edu** can use the full connector, including creating and editing events and tickets.
  * **Pro** can connect for reading, such as events, sales, and payment plans.

<Warning>
  On **Business**, **Enterprise**, and **Edu**, a workspace admin enables developer mode before anyone can add Taack. On **Business**, only admins and owners can use developer mode. On **Enterprise** and **Edu**, an admin grants access, then each person turns it on for their own account.

## Add Taack

<Steps>
  <Step title="Turn on developer mode">
    In ChatGPT, open **Settings**, go to **Apps**, then **Advanced settings**, and turn on **Developer mode**.

    Admins can also turn it on while creating the app: open workspace settings, go to **Apps**, and click **Create**.

  <Step title="Create the connector">
    Open **Settings**, go to **Apps**, and click **Create**. Admins can start from workspace settings, then **Apps**, then **Create**. Enter:

    * **Name**: Taack
    * **MCP server URL**: `https://mcp.taack.app/mcp`
    * **Authentication**: OAuth

  <Step title="Scan tools and approve">
    Click **Scan Tools**. A Taack sign-in page opens. Sign in with the committee owner's account and approve access. Wait until the scan finishes, then click **Create**.

  <Step title="Use it in a chat">
    Start a new chat, select **Developer mode** from the tools menu, and turn on **Taack**. Then try:

    > "How are ticket sales going for my next event?"

<Note>
  **Pro** can read your Taack data. Creating or editing events and tickets needs **Business**, **Enterprise**, or **Edu**.

  ChatGPT asks you to confirm before it runs a tool that changes data, like creating an event or editing a ticket price. Read the confirmation before you approve it.

<Note>
  When an admin publishes Taack for the workspace, ChatGPT keeps the tool list from that moment. After Taack changes its tools, an admin refreshes the app in workspace settings before the new tools show up. On **Business**, updating a published app means creating it again and publishing the new one.
